Working on MLK day

I can't believe I worked on MF MLK day.
I was having mixed feelings about this all weekend. Part of me feels like, part of the reason he fought and died was to give me the opportunity to get an education and put myself in a position to work. So in that regard, I felt like I should work. Then once I found out all of the black folks in my office (read mailroom, accounting, receptionist) said they were going to take off because they thought we should have it off.
Now I can understand if you're going to do something productive to honor the man, but to take off MLK day to be a lazy fucking bum when you should be at work, is just ridiculous to me, so I decided to work.
What I can't believe is how all of these other folks I work with complain and say, "Damn, we should really get MLK day off!" All of a sudden you're down for the cause? puuuhhhllleaase.
Okay, Analogy Time:
Boss = Gone so Curtis = X
X =
a) productive
b) hard-working
c) model employee
d) slacker
Yep, you guessed it, I didn't do shit at work. What better way to honor Mr. King, then stick it to the man by surfing the internet all day and wasting all his money.
A friend of my brother's moved into our couch yesterday. He has a job lined up and is looking for an apartment, but he brought enough bags to stay for a month so I'm a little concerned.
If he stays too long, I'll do what I did to my brother's girlfriend. I was tired of her just being around hanging out with her annoying little laugh............
..... so I grabbed her booty one day.
she hasn't been around too much, so it worked. I'm giving this brotha a week or so, then I'm grabbing his ass.
