black presidential candidates

Yeah, so I've been gone for a minute. Not only have I been incredibly busy,

but I just haven't had anything to really write about. You can't force
creativity man... I'm an artist and I'm sensitive about my shit ya know?
(i.e. Badu) You can't force this sort of thing, it has to just flow.

So what's been going on? I've been studying and took the first part of the
architects exam last week, crazy deadlines at work, cover letters, resumes,
helping plan the National minority architects conference which is here in
Chicago in October, my aunt passed away, dealing with bullshit at work on a
daily basis ..... which basically all means, I haven't really felt like
writing.

But today, I have something on my mind.

Carol Mosely Braun threw her hat in the ring to run for the democratic
nomination for President. Many are whispering that she was pushed to run
against Sharpton, so he wouldn't get the black vote. Whether or not this is
the case doesn't matter to me because here is my problem: I am really tired
of half-ass politicians feeling like they can make a run for the white house
on this moral/character platform that all the democrats seem to be running
on.

It is apparent to me by looking at our current president that you need some
long-term political experience dealing with national issues over a sustained
period of time to be a really good president. Braun was a Senator for a
while, but that was in the early Clinton years, then once she lost, she was
the ambassador to New Zealand for a few months. To me, if I get sent to New
Zealand, I would be led to believe that someone is trying to get rid of me.
I've never been there, and I'm sure it is a beautiful place, but Carol's
black ass didn't have no business being in New Zealand ya know?

Anyway, I am refusing to vote for a candidate simply because they are black.
I love my black people and want to support them to the fullest, but they
have to bring some shit to the table. The democratic party can't just
assume I'm going to vote for one of these two because of my skin color.

And poor Al sharpton, bless his heart, as hard as he tries, the media just
won't let him talk about the issues. He is really trying hard to run a
campaign based on real issues and has a lot of good things to say, but they
won't give him a chance to do it. Whenever Al is mentioned everywhere, it
is followed by Tawana Brawley or some crack deal from '72 where Al happenned
to be getting ice from an ice machine accross the hall from a room where a
crack orgy was going on.

It is that underhanded sneaky shit that the media does, like show Al
sharpton and say, "Here is the Reverened Al Sharpton, seen here walking next
to convicted rapist Rick James coming out of mosque where Al Queda
terrorists allegedly prayed before killing thousands of innocent human
beings" There is nothing inherently FALSE about the statement, but it just
makes him subliminally look bad ya know? For all we know, he was meeting
with Arab leaders trying to bridge the gap between black / arab relations,
or dammit, maybe him and Rick just had a taste for some mint tea!

I'm done rambling for now...

expiration date on H2O

There is an expiration date on my bottled water.

August 14, 2004.

How the hell does water go bad?

And how much better is it really going to be August 13, then it would be on
August 15th?

I can understand expiration dates on condoms. It makes sense that somehow
the nonoxonol-9 will eventually break down the rubber of the condom in some
sort of way that will reduce it's strength.

But water?

What makes water expire? I suppose something that is 'all natural' can
still expre, but how do they know it will happen on August 14th?

.... don't make sense to me...
